Manned aircraft surveillance and detection radar, as well as real aperture radar and synthetic aperture radar, their skill levels are increasing year by year. Unmanned reconnaissance aircraft, developed in the second half of the 20th century, will gradually replace manned aircraft in the 21st century. Due to the advance of radar skills and the miniaturization of the circuit, uav detection radar becomes the primary support of this new machine. All these types of radar are equipped with synthetic aperture and dynamic policy indicating skills, and most of them have three basic functions: strip sweep, cluster scanning and dynamic policy exploration. In the operating frequency band, there are 3 kinds of 3cm, 2cm and millimeter wave bands according to the distance of exploration interval. The uav is equipped with "hausa" high resolution monitoring and detection radar. The radar operation is in the 3cm band, with a distance of 200Km on the exploration ground. It has a resolution ratio of 6m in the strip survey, and the resolution ratio of the aggregate mapping is 1.8m, which can be explored, targeted on the ground or the sea surface movement policy.
America's predator and prowler drones are equipped with a 2cm band "lynx" high resolution synthetic aperture radar. The resolution of the radar in the ground with a strip mapping of 60Km is 0.3 ~ 3m; The maximum resolution of the ground within 25Km is up to 0.1m; The minimum radial velocity for the exploration of ground motion is 10Km/h. In the future, the radar will also add new functions such as the inverse synthetic aperture and the interferometric synthetic aperture that can be shown in three dimensions.
One of the earliest "predators", another 2cm band radar, is "tessa" and has been tested. Although its resolution is still 0.3 ~ 1m, the exploration interval is relatively close, only about 10Km. The millimeter-wave radar is smaller and has a higher resolution, with only a small effect interval, so long as thousands of meters, suitable for low-altitude detection. Italy's 8mm synthetic aperture/moving policy indicates that the radar is only 62Kg and the radar data is transmitted from the data link to the ground station. The American millimeter-wave policy direction and imaging exploration radar operation is around 3mm, the exploration interval is 7 ~ 8Km, and the resolution is 0.1 ~ 1m, which is equipped with "global hawk" and "predator" uav.
